2020: A Good Strategy for a Bad Year

I think I could speak for about 90% of us when I say that 2020 has been an awful year.

Yeah, I see you nodding your head over there. Thanks for the affirmation.

But for me, I hasten to add that this year has has some pretty damn good moments. Enjoying the beauty of nature and getting outdoors a lot helps to keep me sane.

The banner photo is of a serene spot overlooking Lake Carlton in NW Orange County. Trimble Park is the gem of the Orange County Park System and lies mere yards from the line that separates Orange and  Lake Counties in Central Florida.

Trips to the park -- and so many others -- help to rejuvenate me. On this trip back in late January, we camped for a couple of days and enjoyed every minute of it. We were blessed with nearly-ideal weather on this outing and that made a good thing even better. (If you camp much, you know that you can't take favorable weather for granted!)

I hope you've put together a workable strategy for staying safe and sane as we go through this vexing, challenging year. If you're wanting to add something to that strategy, I must say that you'll never go wrong by retreating into Mother Nature's domain.
